Step adapter part numbers are made up of the lens thread size in mm and the filter size in mm. Ex: SU25.5-27; M25.5 (lens thread), M27 (filter thread)
Step-Up Rings Use larger diameter filters on lenses with smaller diameter filter threads
Often mandatory for shorter focal length lenses in order to prevent vignetting
